Backend Developer (Node.js / AWS)

NexaWave Software FZ-LLC, based in Dubai Media City, is hiring a Backend Developer to build APIs and event-driven services for its fintech and marketplace clients across the GCC. The role offers a hybrid remote setup, visa sponsorship and a modern Node.js, TypeScript and AWS stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build REST and GraphQL APIs in Node.js and TypeScript
• Develop event-driven microservices on AWS (Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB)
• Model relational schemas and optimise queries in PostgreSQL
• Write unit and integration tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions

Requirements

• 4+ years backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Production experience with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or GitLab CI)
• Fintech or payments domain exposure an advantage

• AED 15,000 – 24,000 per month, tax-free
