General Accountant (VAT & Corporate Tax)

Meridian Gulf Auditing & Consultancy is hiring a General Accountant for its client accounting desk in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), Dubai. The role manages full-cycle bookkeeping, UAE VAT returns and corporate tax filings for a portfolio of SME clients, with visa sponsorship and clear progression to Senior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of 15–20 SME clients
• Prepare and file quarterly UAE VAT returns via the FTA portal
• Support corporate tax computations and registration filings
• Perform monthly bank, supplier and intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts and client reporting packs
• Liaise with external auditors during year-end engagements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA/CA Inter an advantage
• 3+ years UAE accounting experience, ideally in an outsourced or audit firm
• Hands-on knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax rules
• Proficiency in Zoho Books, QuickBooks or Tally and advanced Excel
• Strong English communication for client-facing work
